Hoʻoponopono Prayer

I have been contemplating the current state of the world and the various conflicts and divisions that exist today. It can be disheartening to witness the cruelty and inhumanity perpetrated against each other and the divisions within our country and other parts of the world, whether they stem from differences in race, religion, politics, or other beliefs.

I have observed a prevailing sense of darkness in the energy surrounding us. This darkness often arises from people's anger and hatred towards things they don't understand or who are different from themselves. Beneath these emotions lies fear, which can be a powerful driving force behind division and conflict. Fear has been used as a weapon.

Recognizing this underlying fear is essential to understanding and addressing our divisions. By fostering empathy, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn from one another, we can bridge these divides and work towards acceptance and a more harmonious and inclusive society.

Remembering positive change starts with individuals willing to reflect, question, and seek understanding, which is crucial. We can create a more united and compassionate world by promoting compassion, respect, and love.

It's important to remember that forgiveness and letting go of negative emotions don't necessarily mean we are agreeing with or condoning someone's actions. It's about releasing our emotional burden and finding a place of understanding and compassion for people suffering the injustices perpetrated by others.

It’s not okay if people are taken hostage or worse. Or for people to be used as pawns to obtain some objective of dominance. It’s not okay for a classification or group of people to be singled out just because of who they are. Throughout history, that has been the case all too many times all over the globe.

I have been reminded of how my judgments have contributed to the darkness surrounding us and the planet. Utilizing the gift of the Hoʻoponopono prayer has dramatically changed how I feel energetically. It is a beautiful Hawaiian prayer that can help bring healing and reconciliation. Incorporating Hoʻoponopono into my daily practice has been a powerful way to transform my energy and contribute positively to the world. It reminds me how I can take responsibility for my thoughts, emotions, and actions and actively work towards healing and unity.

The Hoʻoponopono prayer involves repeating four simple phrases three times each:

"I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you."

Sincerely expressing these words, I have been able to release negative emotions and judgments I have harbored against other people and situations. Thus bringing harmony within myself. By recognizing that everyone is on their unique journey and serving their purpose, I can shift my focus from judgment and resentment to a more empathetic and accepting mindset. My prayer is that we can one day live in peace and harmony.
